RAK Police in the UAE has become the first police force to acquire the latest version of Intertraff’s new D-cop Mobile dual version, an advanced portable speed camera capable of monitoring multiple lanes of traffic simultaneously.
The seventh Intertraffic Innovation Award for the most innovative exhibit will be presented during the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 on 25 March. An international jury has selected a shortlist of nominees from 60 entries and awards will be presented in each of five categories: infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety, parking and smart mobility. One of five winners will then be chosen as the overall winner of the Intertraffic Innovation Award.

Germany-headquartered Vitronic will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to present its latest developments in speed and red light enforcement, electronic toll collection and ANPR, all based on laser scanners (LIDAR).

Toyota is to invest $600 million in Chinese ride-hailing company DiDi Chuxing and will form a joint venture to develop vehicle-related services for its drivers.
The partners intend to expand the connected services of Toyota’s Mobility Services Platform to include vehicle management, maintenance and financing for customers and drivers.
