For German company Traffic Lines, Intertraffic Amsterdam will be the first international exhibition it has participated at. The company was founded to focus on developing road marking removal technology against a background where many conventional techniques often do not produce the desired results and cause substantial damage to the road surface.
La Semaforica is at Intertraffic with a trio of new products, from a traffic controller that can be operated from a smartphone, to a rugged and smart pedestrian crossing activation device. Cartesio is a traffic controller which incorporates the Linux open architecture operating system. It can be remotely controlled via tablet or smartphone and is suitable for use in extreme climatic conditions.
An international jury of transportation experts have shortlisted 15 candidates across the five categories: Infrastructure, Traffic Management, Safety, Parking and Smart Mobility for the Intertraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award 2018. The final winners will be announced at the opening ceremony of the three day event, which will take place from 20-23 March. A smart parking solution which directs city drivers to the likeliest available spaces based on historical and real-time traffic flow data has won the overall prize at the Intertraffic 2018 Innovation Awards.
