German software provider PTV Group is expanding its international business in the transport and logistics sectors, with the appointment of a new managing director for its local branch office in Shanghai, China.
With experience in all facets of transportation, Oscar Jiang Jing is charged with boosting the group's business in the Chinese market. In addition to the existing office in Shanghai, a further two regional offices will be established in Beijing and Chengdu within the next three years.

Porsche Automobil Holding SE (Porsche SE) has acquired traffic and transport specialist, PTV Group, for a purchase price in excess of US$338 million (€300 million) as part of a long-term investment strategy.
In cooperation with the City of Karlsruhe, Germany, PTV Group has established a Mobility Lab, where various traffic planning and model solutions will be linked to one another and to other solutions in order to try out new ideas and approaches as well as their effects on cities and regions worldwide.
