Jenoptik will be at Intertraffic to highlight that it provides innovative and sustainable smart mobility solutions, including technology and services for road safety, public security, and road user charging. Visitors will be able to experience the company’s brand-new video-based camera family covering a wide range of applications in road safety, civil security and commercial use.
As holder of the EU Presidency in 2016, the Netherlands has organised the 2016 European Truck Platooning Challenge and it is no coincidence that it will involve Intertraffic Amsterdam. Truck platooning, where two or more trucks travel in convoy very close to each other, provides many benefits. The first truck does the driving while the ones following are connected by a wireless electronic communications system, like the carriages of a train.
ITSUP – a space specifically given over to new companies – made its debut at Intertraffic four years ago and is back in hall 6. “Start-ups are the companies of the future,” says Intertraffic director Joyce de Winter. “Let’s inspire the industry!” Powered by Swarco and Connekt, it gives start-ups access to connections with the whole industry.
