The city council of Sant Cugat del Vallés in Spain last week inaugurated a revolutionary smart city project to improve the mobility, sustainability and life of the citizens of this town, which is located next to the city of Barcelona.
The next ITS World Congress will be held in stunning Bordeaux, France, from 5 – 9 October, 2015. Didier Gorteman, Ertico - ITS Europe, chair of the organising committee, explains how the event is shaping up.
Q The theme of next year’s ITS World Congress in Bordeaux is “Towards intelligent mobility – Better use of space”. Could you give an overview of how this theme will shape the event?
A The EPC chose this theme together with the host organisations. With the word space we want to make a link to space
The International Program Committee is inviting ITS experts to submit their contributions for papers and special interest sessions for the 2020 ITS World Congress in Los Angeles.
Focusing on ‘The New Age of Mobility’, contributors will be prompted to select up to three technologies including artificial intelligence/machine learning, automated vehicle, connected vehicle, cybersecurity, alternative fuels, emissions, rural, smart city and truck operations.
