A smart parking solution which directs city drivers to the likeliest available spaces based on historical and real-time traffic flow data has won the overall prize at the Intertraffic 2018 Innovation Awards.
The On-Street Parking Information (OSPI) feature in BMW cars, coupled with an in-dash payments system from ParkNow, guides drivers to the area in which they should have the best chance of parking and then allows them to pay for it.
Germany-based Designa, a global technology leader in the parking industry with its Abacus and Slimpark products, has a major presence here at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 and is highlighting its cloud service – ‘Private Cloud’ - for managing the operation of parking facilities.
Dutch vehicle detection and identification technology Nedap and Australian payment solutions provider Advam are to partner in a venture which combines their expertise in parking, transport and payments.
The combination of Nedap’s TRANSIT long-range vehicle identification system with Advam’s ticketless solutions produces a fully-integrated account-based solution for their parking and transport management which enables customers to enter, exit and pay for parking or access a transport hub.
