Intertraffic 2016 got off to a flying start yesterday when Skidata signed a major contract to supply access solutions for car parks across Amsterdam. Although the value of the contract remains commercially confidential, its scale meant it was the talking point of day one at the show. The start of a long-term partnership between Skidata and the City of Amsterdam, the deal covers an initial batch of the 22 parking areas in the city that account for 25,000 parking spaces.
As Intertraffic opened Skidata and Stentofon announced a partnership which is set to deliver enhanced communications for the parking sector. The partnership will see Stentofon’s Pulse framework audio communication systems used in Skidata’s parking devices for bidirectional communication between car park operators and their customers. This enables Skidata to provide hardware-free and server-less VoIP-intercom communication as an integrated part of its widely spread parking solutions.
Parking systems provider APT Skidata has completed a major new contract to provide Cambridge City Council in the UK with a wide range of parking, car park management and people access management technologies.
The company will provide both the parking facility hardware, which includes its state-of-the-art barriers and payment stations, and all of the associated software that enables parking facilities to integrate directly with retailers’ promotions and maximise city events and other initiatives.
Swarco and Skidata parking technology company APT Skidata has been awarded two significant contracts by UK company Land Securities to upgrade the parking systems at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth and Lewisham shopping centre in London.
Both sites will deploy APT Skidata’s new Power.Gate control columns to control entry and exit, providing operators with options to adopt alternative ticketing types in the future.
