The seventh Intertraffic Innovation Award for the most innovative exhibit will be presented during the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 on 25 March. An international jury has selected a shortlist of nominees from 60 entries and awards will be presented in each of five categories: infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety, parking and smart mobility. One of five winners will then be chosen as the overall winner of the Intertraffic Innovation Award.
Companies shortlisted for the award
Hub Parking Technology will present its latest innovations at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016. These will include its Zeag, FAAC and DataPark parking revenue control equipment that has been further enhanced with new useful functionalities as well as its cutting edge software and mobile solutions which will allow companies to streamline their operations.
Canada-based Skymeter Corporation has won the overall 2010 Intertraffic Innovation Award. The company succeeded with its smart road-use device which it has designed to handle a wide range of automotive mobility-related payment needs, including road user charging, parking fees, insurance and carbon metering, as well as reward schemes to encourage differential driving times, carpooling or teleworking.
An innovative intelligent bicycle parking system has been named the overall winner of the 2014 Intertraffic Innovation Awards. Entered by HR Groep Traffic & Signing, the MB Track & Trace system - which is being trialed in Rotterdam – also won the Smart Mobility section and beat off the other category winners (ITS/Traffic Management; Parking; Safety; and Infrastructure) to claim the award.
