    The International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association's (IBTTA) has announced the election of the association’s president and second vice-president, who will both take office in January 2018. Tim Stewart, executive director of Colorado’s E-470 Public Highway Authority has been elected as the association’s incoming president. He has served as a member of the association’s Executive Committee for the past two years and on the Board of Directors for four years.

    Colombia has launched the second tender round for phase two of the country's US$25 billion 4G highway plan. The concession is valued at US$1.24 billion, according to vice president Germán Vargas Lleras. The project involves construction and repair work on the 447 kilometre Santana-Mocoa-Neiva highway, which will connect southern department Putumayo with Huila in the country's central region.   • Gatso receives second Dutch enforcement contract

    Gatso has been awarded a second contract for the implementation of combined speed and red-light enforcement cameras in the Netherlands. The contract is part of the EG100 framework agreement, which comprises the replacement of 300 to 550 fixed installations throughout the country. The new contract covers the delivery, installation and maintenance of 143 T-Series based fixed installations, bringing the number of cameras to be delivered under the framework agreement to 237 systems. Installation is due to be c
