Bartco UK has launched an app which gives users the ability to change variable message signs (VMS) remotely.
Bartco Live will allow traffic managers to control VMS announcements via smartphone, tablet or laptop, offering flexibility and efficiency, the company says. Swarco Traffic Romania (STR) is to implement a video surveillance and traffic management system for the city of Timisoara in Romania.
Fully adaptive traffic control will be installed at 134 intersections, which also include public transport prioritisation. The project also includes 215 signal heads, 312 pedestrian signal heads, 260 on-board units, 230 CCTV monitoring systems and 17 LED variable message signs as well as 50 speed radar detectors and red light enforcement monitoring.
