Q-Free has been awarded a three-year frame agreement valued at around US$1.2 million by the North-West Concession Company in Russia.
The contract is for the company’s OBU615, which features ultra-low power consumption and new signal discrimination technology which enables an extended lifetime and immunity to radio frequency (RF) interference from wireless-enabled devices to be found within or around the vehicle.

Following a board meeting on 3 November, Q-Free has announced that Thomas Falck will step down from his position as CEO with immediate effect and CFO Roar Østbø is appointed as interim CEO.
Chairman of the board Terje Christoffersen has also informed the board of his immediate resignation; vice chairman Charlotte Brogren will fill the role until a new chairman of the board is elected by the general meeting.
Thomas Falck, who has been acting as Q-Free’s CEO on a contract basis since January 2014, has been appointed CEO from 1 January 2015. Falck says he has had a hectic first year at Q-Free, and is positive about taking on the role permanently.
