The municipality of The Hague in the Netherlands is to move to digital parking enforcement, using Agendum’s Scanman platform, which is already used in the Dutch cities of Amsterdam, Haarlem and Utrecht.

Enforcement systems specialist Agendum has rebranded to Parkius as it prepares to expand its services to include smart city solutions.
Agendum says users of its parking solution can then use smart data services for monitoring and predicting traffic and parking intensity or inspect traffic signs, street furniture or other objects in the public space.

Intertraffic 2016 got off to a flying start yesterday when Skidata signed a major contract to supply access solutions for car parks across Amsterdam. Although the value of the contract remains commercially confidential, its scale meant it was the talking point of day one at the show.
