WPS Parking Systems – a division of 8343 Dynniq – has inked an airport parking deal at Intertraffic. WPS and Viggo signed a co-operation agreement for parking services at Lelystad Airport, in Flevoland, central Netherlands.

WPS will supply, install and maintain the parking management system at the airport, which is in the process of major change. Lelystand is evolving from an airport used only for general aviation (with predominantly small planes) to becoming an international holiday airfield.

As a result of this change, parking capacity will be expanded to 3,317 spaces. Aviation services provider Viggo has a 10-year contract with the airport to handle passengers, baggage handling, security, terminal completion, cleaning – and parking management.

Among WPS’s services will be the provision of a portal for companies on and around the airport – such as car rental companies which can manage the parking rights of their own parkers and employees.

“We are taking the next step in realising our ambition to provide airports worldwide with intelligent parking solutions,” said Erik Dijkshoorn, managing director of WPS. “We already do this for other airports in Europe and in America and Canada, such as at Halifax International Airport, Durango Airport and Lincoln Airport.”
