148 Wavetronix is very upbeat here at Intertraffic because it says opportunities for international growth continue for the company and its market-leading SmartSensor HD. Recent deployments in the UK and France; the Middle East; Eastern Europe and Asia; new markets in Australia and the Pacific Rim; and ongoing projects in the United States, have helped to solidify HD’s position for side-fire radar vehicle detection.

Visitors to the company’s stand will get to see the latest version of SmartSensor HD, available worldwide in 2014. The updated sensor promises greater speed accuracy. It also includes improvements to the sensor management software that make it even easier to use, with data download options that allow agencies to complete their own data analysis more efficiently.

“These product updates are evidence of our commitment to provide our customers with the most advanced technology possible,” says Europe marketing manager Dan Duckwitz. “We view ourselves as partners, giving agencies around the world the tools they need to take control of their traffic.”

Since its release in 2006, SmartSensor HD has consistently set a high standard for vehicle detection. In just eight years, the company says its true high definition, dual-beam radar has gained a reputation for excellence that has been proven by third-party studies and at tens of thousands of installations around the globe.

The message from Intertraffic is that offering the best-selling radar sensor is not enough for Wavetronix. “Our goal is to make SmartSensor HD the most trusted vehicle detector in the world,” Duckwitz told the Daily News, adding that the company is well positioned to achieve its goal.
