At this year’s Intertraffic, traffic safety and Toll collection specialist 147 Vitronic is presenting a range of new products from its traffic enforcement line-up and showcasing the future of LIDAR speed enforcement.

For the first time ever, visitors to the Vitronic stand will be able to see a brand new version of Vitronic’s design classic for stationary speed and red light enforcement that significantly reduces total cost of ownership and allows operation in high temperature areas without the need for active cooling. The new pillar design is shipped ‘ready-to-set-up’ complete with pre-assembled internal cabling. This results in less installation time and faster start-up at the enforcement site.

Another world`s first is the latest version of Vitronic’s PoliScan speed mobile enforcement system featuring an improved camera system that delivers even higher definition pictures. Aside from these innovations the latest TollChecker generation is also on display at Intertraffic. The company says that this flexible technology for Toll collection and enforcement features greater functionality and serviceability.

Visitors to Intertraffic 2014 will be given a preview of the next generation in LIDAR speed enforcement. Vitronic states that while competitors are just trying to embark upon the trend towards LIDAR systems, Vitronic already can present the second generation of such technology.

The system, codenamed PoliScan X, is the culmination of over 10 years’ R&D experience with laser-based Traffic Technology and the collected customer feedback obtained from more than 5,000 enforcement systems installed worldwide. According to Vitronic, PoliScan X builds on the technical advances of the revolutionary PoliScan traffic enforcement series and brings this to a new, lighter, maintenance-friendly, and expandable platform.
