As the company points out, managing decisions around road weather is as important as the sensors and systems, and can be easier with Vaisala RoadDSS Manager software. Vaisala stresses that its focus in new solutions is on long-term costs not short-term gains. For instance, the Vaisala nonintrusive pavement sensors are an excellent example of developing a solution that is accurate, and has a better life cycle cost than traditional in-pavement sensors.
