The aim of the project is to enable the introduction of more fail-safe, cost effective automated driving technologies to make road traffic safer and more convenient.     The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) is partnering with ITS America to host two free public workshops on Thursday June 16 at ITS America 2016 San Jose. These workshops will discuss connected vehicle architecture, standards, and software tools, as well as provide new training on developing a plan for deploying a connected vehicle environment.
