Easi-Set Worldwide has announced that its J-J Hooks barrier system has successfully passed both bolted-down and pinned-down MASH Test Level 3 crash tests (MASH - Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware), out-performing other comparable systems. The tests were performed by the Texas Transportation Institute.

The company says it enables police to determine if a driver is under the influence of up to five drugs from a single oral fluid sample within five minutes, including cocaine, cannabis, opiates, amphetamines and methamphetamines.
Dutch company PAL-V Europe has concluded test flights of its flying car, the PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle). The patented vehicle flies in the air like a gyrocopter with lift generated by an auto-rotating rotor and forward speed is produced by a foldable push propeller on the back. On the road it drives like a sports car. No new infrastructure is required because it uses existing roads and airstrips.
