592 Tattile has used Intertraffic Amsterdam 2016 to launch a new range of innovative smart cameras including the Vega Basic and Vega Smart lines. “Addressing both the immediate and future requirements of the ITS market, these cutting-edge cameras set Tattile a step ahead in the industry,” says Massimiliano Cominelli, sales manager, Tattile Traffic Division.

The main functionality of the cameras is enriched by features normally obtained through external devices, reducing the foot-print and costs while simultaneously increasing the efficiency. The new housings, which follow current trends in design, were developed by the Transportation Division of ED Group, the largest independent engineering and design company in Italy.

Vega Basic cameras show several new features like the capability of reading both reflective and non-reflecting number plates without illuminators and PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology allowing a single-cable installation. All the consolidated Tattile features are available, like the processor, the ANPR software and the web server integrated on-board, making the camera self-dependent.

Provided with powerful processors and latest generation sensors, Vega Smart is fully scalable so it offers high added-value without forcing the customer to buy the whole package of functionalities at the outset. Two different OCR software packages increment the recognition rate. Moreover, the camera can recognise the brand and colour of vehicles and it can optically classify vehicles as well as generate high quality video streams.

The new range currently includes four models: Vega Basic in b/w and colour versions and Vega Smart in dual- and single-head versions. Tattile says it will develop further models and custom versions.
