127 StarTraq, a leading specialist back office solution Provider whose products are used globally, is here at Intertraffic to showcase its flexible, efficient and cost-effective road traffic enforcement software applications. A major highlight of the company’s presence here is StarTraq Dome, the back office solution that automates the processing of offences, improving productivity and compliance which is currently used by over 50% of UK police forces. It can be used for both police and civil enforcement, including speeding, red light and mobile phone offences, congestion charging and road tolling; parking, bus lane and environment offences.

While the company will be providing one-to-one demonstrations, explaining just how efficient and effective its software products are, StarTraq is backing up its claims with glowing endorsements from customers around the world.
For instance, from 2002-2013, Pat Garrett was the lead manager for processing of Road Traffic Violations with Dorset police, on England’s south coast. “At Dorset we processed 50,000 traffic violations every year,” Pat says. “By using StarTraq’s software we enjoyed an overall saving of approximately 3.5 staff in the overall process and management. This equated to an annual saving of approximately £114,000 (€136,000).”

On the other side of the world, Rajeshwar Prasad, ICT Manager for the Fijian Land Transport Authority explains that they decided to implement a new traffic enforcement programme, with a simple goal to reduce road deaths and improve overall road safety. “StarTraq specified, customised, and installed the system remotely while training and support was delivered online. What is really remarkable though is the fact that in 2012, and again in 2013, Fiji reported the lowest number of road deaths (41) in 25 years: without StarTraq we would not have achieved this.”
