7434 Signal Group is launching a new traffic control product, called the C5000 intersection control system, here at Intertraffic. The company says it has taken its proven US technology from the ATC line of traffic controllers and SG line of safety monitors and created an all-in-one unit.

The new unit, along with its paired power distribution assembly, can deliver world-class traffic control in an integrated card-rack based form factor.

This initial launch configuration will drive up to 32 individual signal sets using the modular four-signal smart switch pack cards. The C5000 smart switch packs have optional voltage and current monitoring features so that the user can fine tune their monitoring capabilities.

In addition to the built-in safety checks the main CPU conducts, the new product includes an integrated but redundant monitoring circuit and software to ensure that the driving safety of the public remains the highest priority.

The C5000 delivers Signal Group’s industry leading intersection control software, GreenWave. Paired with the cutting-edge capabilities of the hardware, GreenWave delivers advanced features right out of the box.

These include both an LCD and Web-based user interface, compatible with all major web browsers on Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android, Linux, Opera and more; advanced data collection;, full-featured transit signal priority; emergency vehicle/train priority; and light rail prioritisation.

In addition to the C5000, Signal Group is also exhibiting its latest detection, data collection and advance traffic management system products. Also on the stand is the Signal Group’s Rayolite range of round shoulder reflectors.
