With the recent acquisitions of 7083 Truesense Imaging and Aptina Imaging, ON Semiconductor is now a major supplier of high-performance image sensor solutions used in intelligent transportation systems (ITS), including traffic enforcement, intersection monitoring, and automated number plate recognition (ANPR).
High resolution, wide field of view, and wide aspect ratio image sensors allow a single device to capture multiple lanes of traf¬fic in a single image, while the high sensitivity, integrated electronic shutter, and high smear rejection available from these devices allow the capture of crisp, clean images.

3M has two stands here at Intertraffic this year – one which focuses on its traditional product offerings and a second that highlights its end-to-end ITS offer, says the company’s Julie Cooper.

Tattile’s wide range of camera systems for machine vision use includes the Tag-7 linear camera series and the S200 smart camera range. TAG-7 is a linear CCD CameraLink compact digital camera with a linear 2 megapixel CCD sensor, and is designed to meet the main requirements of machine vision.
The Tönnjes Group is displaying its latest range of licence plate and windscreen labels with an integrated RFID-chip. Vehicle-specific data in the IDePLATE and IDeSTIX can be read by a variety of fixed and mobile radio devices.
Visitors to the company’s stand will also be able to view its IDeTRUST software system for vehicle registration and verification and can enable verification via smartphones and other connected devices.
Leading Italian ITS company Tattile is here at Intertraffic to expand its product range with the launch of new products, including ANPR Mobile and Vega Color. ANPR Mobile, a new cutting-edge technology in support of police forces, incorporates Megapixel sensors enabling it to scan over 100 number plates per second, front and rear, at any light condition. The newly-launched system needs neither embedded processing units nor physical connection between the cameras and the on-board computer/tablet.
