With the recent acquisitions of 7083 Truesense Imaging and Aptina Imaging, ON Semiconductor is now a major supplier of high-performance image sensor solutions used in intelligent transportation systems (ITS), including traffic enforcement, intersection monitoring, and automated number plate recognition (ANPR).
High resolution, wide field of view, and wide aspect ratio image sensors allow a single device to capture multiple lanes of traf¬fic in a single image, while the high sensitivity, integrated electronic shutter, and high smear rejection available from these devices allow the capture of crisp, clean images.
With a broad portfolio of CCD and CMOS technologies in a variety of resolutions, optical formats and frame rates, 7914 ON Semiconductor is truly a “one-stop-shop” for camera makers who need solutions for a wide variety of customer requirements and is well positioned to provide the most competitive imaging solutions for the ITS market.

Swarco has a major presence here at the ITS World Congress on two stands (D10 & E10) and will be focusing on the company’s integrated solutions capabilities in urban and interurban traffic management, parking and e-mobility and public transport. Swarco technology, including traffic controllers, LED signals, LED VMS, and LED street lights, will be featured within the Testfeld Telematik, the outdoor demo course taking place under real Vienna traffic conditions and showing the interaction of cooperative system
Kapsch is using the ITS World Congress Detroit to show for the first time the company’s V2X end-to-end capabilities by demonstrating the full V2X system integration, incorporated into its Dynac Traffic Management solution. (Communication from Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) or vice versa (I2V), or from Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) is commonly called “V2X”.)
Q-Free ‘s message at this World Congress centres around its global strength and capabilities, underpinned by advanced technology, such as the QPoint positioning technology which is being unveiled here in Vienna. It’s less than a month since the company was awarded a contract for the design, supply and installation of an electronic tolling system for the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, just a few months after Brisbane Airport Corporation in Australia appointed Q-Free to design and construct an electronic acces
Case Systems, which develops and maintains innovative reliable wireless technologies for the transportation and parking industries, is highlighting its roadside call box technology and parking systems.
