8442 Savari’s V2X communication technology won a Best of ITS Award in the “Wheels & Things” category at ITS America San Jose as the company unveiled its latest generation of V2X equipment on Monday. Delegates wanting to know what the latest V2X can do for road safety should visit the Savari booth and book a ride in its demonstration vehicle. Savari's V2X technology comes in three separate units: MobiWave onboard units (OBUs), StreetWave roadside units (RSUs) and V2X middleware – in fact just about all the missing links in the V2X chain.

These new solutions are designed for automotive manufactures, tier one suppliers and governments/road operators looking to improve road safety. The company’s V2X solutions have been used in more than 15million miles and 400,000hrs of public safety pilot testing with the USDoT.

Throughout the event, Savari’s on-road demonstration vehicle will be located on Viola Street. It is fitted with Forward Collision and Blind Spot warning systems as well as driver assistance applications for Lane Change and Intersection Movement.
