8683 Professional Pavement Products (PPP) and president Greg Driskell are unveiling the Lanealert2x pavement marking for the first time internationally. The solution is designed to combat wrong way collisions.

LaneAlert 2x, according Driskell, is a polyurethane marking that can appear as a white or yellow line that changes to red or uses arrows when drivers are going the wrong way.

Additionally, PPP has developed directional messages that provide Do Not Enter and Wrong Way alerts.

“We love this technology and think it will transform the roadway safety industry. We view the LaneAlert 2x as a platform product that has many different applications.  Thousands of divided highways, one-way streets, and off-ramps are in need if the LaneAlert 2x pavement markings. It will make our streets safer”, Driskell added.

  • Copenhagen light rail JV appointed

    Copenhagen metro operator Metroselkabet has appointed Arup as part of a joint venture with Rambøll to develop the light rail on ring 3 for greater Copenhagen. The new light rail system includes a double track alignment of 27 kilometres and 27 stations with a rolling stock fleet of 27 light rail vehicles. This major project was planned to promote the use of public transport as well as encourage the urban development along the route and the passage across the city to avoid interchanging in the centre.
