There will be celebrations aplenty on the 7605 Potters stand during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014. One of the world’s largest glass bead manufacturers, the company, with 25 plants in the USA and Canada, South America, Europe, Asia and Australia, will celebrate its first century in business. But even with 100 years of research, innovation, technical and commercial development behind it, Potters certainly won’t be resting on its laurels. At Intertraffic, the company will be celebrating a range of innovative new products, including the patent-pending Ultraguard guardrail and barrier marking safety system.

According to Potters, this safety system is a unique low-cost delineation alternative to mounted reflectors. The Ultra Guard System is applied directly onto guard rails and barriers, giving drivers a continuous retroreflective guide to changes in road direction, curbs, islands, tunnels, work zones or shoulder width.

Another innovation that Potters will be featuring on its stand is Visilok, which substantially improves drying time of waterborne paint. Adding Visilok to a waterborne paint, either as intermix or as drop-on, reduces its drying time by up to three times without degrading the performances and the durability of the paint. Importantly, the improvement in drying time means that drop-on glass beads are not knocked out by the abrasion of passing traffic and Visilok helps avoid coning, extends the applicability of paint, and improves application in humid and cold conditions.
