Neology, the US-headquartered technology leader supplying private industry and governments with advanced tolling, ITS, and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) solutions, is aiming to re-establish the 37 Pips Technology brand and launch an innovative new ANPR camera.

Pips Technology, a name traditionally synonymous with high-performance ANPR solutions, was acquired by Neology last year, along with its technology. It is a strategic acquisition that complements and strengthens Neology’s traditional core business in the provision of passive RFID solutions for electronic toll collection (ETC) and automatic vehicle identification (AVI).

Neology has chosen Intertraffic 2018 to showcase the TS-500, its latest ANPR camera. Due for launch in Q2 2018, the TS-500 is an innovative departure from the fixed site cameras traditionally offered by Pips Technology. This camera platform provides single, two and three adjacent lane width coverage options from a single camera platform. It can capture distances from 4 - 40 metres and is available as fixed lens or user adjustable, motorised zoom lensing options.

Other features of the TS-500 include enhanced ‘on the road’ performance utilising a Quad-core processor; integral GPS; optional Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and internal modem; as well as provision of H.264 streaming video. Importantly, the new TS-500 has full backwards compatibility in terms of the camera firmware options offered on Pips Technology’s historical fixed site ANPR cameras.

“We believe the TS-500 is a game-changer. It sets a new benchmark that will fully re-establish the Pips Technology brand as a major player in the industry,” said Kevin Grattan, business development manager – Western Europe & CEEMEA, Neology.
