Phihong launches portable EV charger

US-based power solutions supplier Phihong has announced a new 10kW DC wheel-mounted electric vehicle charger for roadside assistance and remote area charging. The unit delivers 12V and 24V to power electric passenger cars and buses, and can function as energy storage systems providing 3.5kW backup AC power.

US-based power solutions supplier 8531 Phihong has announced a new 10kW DC wheel-mounted electric vehicle charger for roadside assistance and remote area charging. The unit delivers 12V and 24V to power electric passenger cars and buses, and can function as energy storage systems providing 3.5kW backup AC power. Its 10.4-inch LCD touch screens display charging voltage and current plus the battery management system’s state and there are start, stop and emergency stop push-buttons along with intelligent RFID card readers for security.

Equipped with 6.3kWh LiFePO4 battery packs and high frequency power modules that deliver 92%+ efficiency with a power factor of >0.90 at full load, the new chargers are compliant with the 20234.1-2015 GB/T safety standard and the 20234.3-2015 GB/T charging interface standard.
