3961 Scheidt & Bachmann is claiming that parking will become easier and more convenient with its new parking Portal, which it will feature at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014. The company has developed the web portal where customers can register online, self-administrate their data and activate their identification media - RFID tags or licence plate numbers. Operators can offer this service to their customers without any administrative effort by the operator.

The benefit for customers is that parking no longer has to be paid for separately and there is no need to stand in line at the pay machine. At the end of the month, the customer receives the bill for parking charges and the amount is directly debited from the user’s account. Users can login to the parking portal at any time and conduct a detailed overview of parking processes and transactions upon access to their personal area. In addition, the current occupancy of the car park is displayed in the parking portal which is also available as a smartphone version.

Indeed, Vendeka reports that the system can get accurate results about lane changing and merging while multi-lane traffic flow can be detected.
