New PoE networking switches from Antaira

Antaira Technologies has expanded its industrial PoE networking infrastructure family with the LNP-0702G-SFP (48~55VDC) and LNP-0702G-SFP-24 (12~36VDC) 7-port industrial PoE+ gigabit unmanaged Ethernet switches. Each unit is designed with five gigabit Ethernet ports that are IEEE 802.3at compliant (PoE+) on ports 1-4 (data and power output maximum 30W/port) and are compatible with IEEE 802.3 af PoE. Each unit is designed with five gigabit Ethernet ports that are IEEE 802.3at compliant (PoE+) on ports 1-4 (data and power output maximum 30W/port) and are compatible with IEEE 802.3 af PoE. The unit has two fibre dual rate (100/1000) SFP slots. The series support MDI/MDI-X functions and 9.6Kbytes jumbo frame, making it ideal for applications that demand high bandwidth and long distance communication.

The devices provide high EFT, surge (2,000 VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection and can support power redundancy using a dual power input design with reverse polarity protection. There is also a built-in relay warning function to alert maintainers when power failures occur.

Chicago is installing automated enforcement after pilot schemes indicated that one in 10 motorists exceed the speed limits in Children’s Safety Zones. Each year in Chicago there are around 3,000 incidents of pedestrians being struck by a motor vehicle - and about 800 of those casualties are children. In an effort to improve child safety the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has established Children’s Safety Zones around schools and other areas where children congregate. These zones allow the impos

Siemens has enhanced the functionality of its SLD4 loop detector which now features length-based classification with configurable outputs which can be set to activate when specific conditions are detected, such as large vehicles exceeding a predefined speed. The detectors offer standard vehicle detection and are also suitable for use in bus, tram and light rail transport (LRT) schemes and other applications where high detection accuracy is required. Designed for maximum reliability and using the latest ind
