97 Moxa, a global Provider of industrial automation solutions, is here at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 with a complete portfolio of systematic communication solutions with proven product interoperability and an important product launch – the VPort 56-2MP a Full HD IP zoom camera.

The company will demonstrate that progressive video surveillance solutions, including advanced HD IP video cameras with frame rate management, can seamlessly be integrated with fault tolerant, robust Gigabit networks that are planned specifically for the transportation industry, with certified Ethernet switches and reliable self-healing ring topologies.

The network backbone, be it DSL or Ethernet, cable or wireless, operates safely with reliable Ethernet extenders, converters and wireless access points and adapts to the required data volume offering the appropriate bandwidth at any time.

Moxa says its network management software supports operators by ensuring that the data networks always provide the right transmission speed, automation software for HMI and SCADA connection facilitates active data acquisition, and embedded computers manage multiple communication and control tasks.

Moxa’s new VPort 56-2MP is said to be the world’s first rugged Full HD IP zoom camera designed for mission critical applications and temperatures ranging from -40 to 75°C, without the need for a heater or a cooling fan. It is tailored to increase system reliability in extreme conditions and decrease maintenance costs for system operators.

With an optional built-in fibre interface and VP-PT1201 positioning PT scanner accessory, the new camera can be transformed into an IP positioning system with PTZ capability and comes with an advanced optical technology featuring 10x optical and 16x digital zoom to improve the efficiency of surveillance systems and ensure the best video quality. The VPort 56-2MP-S-SC’s fibre Ethernet port can extend network distances up to 140 km (87 miles), providing a viable solution for long distance IP surveillance applications.

Image Sensing Systems is promoting the addition of a wrong-way alerting solution. An all-in-one system, it provides reliable wrong-way detection on ramps. Drivers wrongfully entering the highway from an off-ramp pose a serious safety risk that can result in severe, and sometimes, fatal accidents. The detection of these wrong-way drivers is vital to reducing these risks. The automatic incident detection (AID) wrong-way alerting solution can monitor any portion of the ramp with a single zone.
