Matrix Vision now offers its dual-Gigabit Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and USB 3.0 industrial cameras interfaced with the new Sony IMX174 CMOS sensor, which the company says sets standards in dynamic, speed, quantum efficiency and noise. The 1.5-inch sensor has a resolution of 1936 x 1214 pixels and reaches a frame rate of 128fps in the dual-GigE model mvBlueCOUGAR-XD using the burst mode, 52fps in the GigE family mvBlueCOUGAR-X, and 162fps in the USB 3.0 model mvBlueFOX3. Even in situations with difficult light conditions, the high image quality ensures that the cameras are effective in challenging applications like traffic surveillance.
