Low profile antenna hits the mark

Iridium Communications has certified Mobile Mark’s surface mount Iridium and GPS combination antenna for commercial use in connection with the Iridium Communications system. 523 Iridium Communications has certified 6763 Mobile Mark’s surface mount Iridium and GPS combination antenna for commercial use in connection with the Iridium Communications system.  

The rugged, low profile combination antenna will mount to surfaces that are up to 5.3mm thick and a metal ground-plane is required for optimum performance.  

Mobile Mark said the antenna provides reliable connections with the Iridium system even in difficult conditions, offering an additional communication link to fleets operating in geographically isolated areas where cellular networks provide less coverage.
