73 Iteris will be at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2018 with a focus on smart cities. As the company points out, a smart city is fueled by data: Iteris is a provider of that necessary data to help improve mobility throughout communities and get any city on the road to becoming a smart city.

Iteris will be highlighting its smart sensor detection and performance analytics. These provide government agencies and transportation stakeholders around the world with the necessary data to improve mobility throughout communities and incorporate roadway data into smart city strategies.

Although the company offers smart city infrastructure, architecture, and network design, it has the technology that not only collects and analyses data, but also provides agencies with the essential information that will enable real-time transportation improvements.  Through the use of smart roadway sensors that detect, collect and present vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian data at signalised intersections, better use can be made of existing infrastructure for critical information that will improve signal timing, increase efficiency and safety.

Segment and corridor speed information collected via Bluetooth / WiFi detection or probe-based data provides the essential elements of corridor performance measurement analysis to ensure better traffic flow.  Traffic signal performance measurement tools from the company round out the package of arterial segment measurement and analysis features that enable cities to take advantage of smart information for better transportation improvements.
