General Motors’ subsidiary Maven is expanding its peer-to-peer car-share option to more US cities.
The service – which sees owners renting out their vehicles - is currently available in four urban areas: Ann Arbor, Chicago, Denver and Detroit. But GM says it will now be rolled out in Baltimore, Boston, Jersey City, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington, DC by the end of the year.

PIPS Technology has rebranded its successful Spike camera range as the ‘Spike Planets'. Visitors to the ITS World Congress will be able to see new products in the range, including Spike Venus, Spike Neptune (integrated ANPR cameras) and Spike Helios (an off axis Illuminator). The latest addition to the range is the Spike Saturn, an integrated ANPR camera designed to cover three UK lanes of traffic.
DERMALOG’s LF10 Fingerprint Scanner for rolled fingerprints now features a software module which enables the scanner to record signatures as well as fingerprints. These are recorded on the same scanning window – other than a pen, no additional hardware is required.
