2213 Hitachi Solutions, in conjunction with Renesas, launched a new V2X system during this week’s ITS World Congress. This new V2X is designed to enable safer driving assistance, increase driving comfort and enable vehicles to communicate with each other, as well as communicating with traffic infrastructure.

In real time, the system’s on-board sensors scan the surrounding environment and supply the information back to the driver via an on-board unit with alerts for the driver to approaching emergency vehicles, road works and traffic congestion.

The system also times a ‘count down’ ensuring the driver is completely aware of immediate traffic conditions.
