In the camera world, HD imaging is increasingly becoming an established technology and this trend is now also continued in traffic monitoring and detection, as more and more traffic agencies are choosing HD cameras to control and secure their urban and highway traffic. In answer to this trend, Flir Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is unveiling here at Intertraffic an extension to its portfolio with a HD version of its Automatic Incident Detection (AID) cameras.
Among several new products that RuggedCom will unveil at the ITS World Congress is the RS900GP, a 10-port PoE managed Ethernet switch with gigabit uplink ports. It comes standard with eight PoE+ ports and optional dual gigabit ports for fibre or copper. With a total power budget of 240 Watts, a single switch can power multiple CCTV cameras and wireless access points with the capacity for additional devices.
Vitronic is attracting a lot of interest here at the ITS World Congress with several important developments in electronic toll collection, ANPR and speed/red light enforcement, all based on the company’s advanced machine vision technology.
