Its high performance Grasshopper3 camera line features 576 Sony’s Pregius global shutter CMOS sensor, available in both USB 3.0 and GigE interfaces. The fast and extremely sensitive IMX174 sensor is a 1.5-inch Exmor CMOS that offers an image resolution of 1920 x 1200 and frame rates up to 162fps. Global shutter CMOS technology allows images of fast-moving vehicles to be captured without motion distortion, a critical requirement for applications such as open road tolling or ANPR/ALPR applications. The IMX174 supports many features such as high-speed triggering and region of interest (ROI) functionality which allows users to select smaller HD 1080p or 720p image sizes that run at faster frame rates.

Point Grey is also showcasing its new low-cost and compact cameras such as the new board-level Chameleon3 camera line and the Blackfly CCD and CMOS cameras ranging from VGA to 5MP.
