The WL400 is a new portable low-speed weigh-in-motion (WIM) wheel load strip sensor which is making its first appearance at 8707 Haenni’s stand in hall 10. Designed for pre-selection of vehicles, the 80mm wide sensor has an accuracy of ±2% (excluding external factors) at speeds of up to 20km/h and a capacity of 30tonnes per axle.

The complete system weighs only 80kg and comprises of two sensors, a position frame and four levelling mats – effectively removing the need for a fixed installation although the sensor can be installed in the road for permanent locations such as tolling and freight management applications.  All areas of the 1.25m long sensor can withstand being run over as it does not include the readout because the results are conveyed to a PC via a rugged cable.
