American company 7630 EMX Industries, a specialist in detectors based on inductive, magnetic, ultrasound, microwave and infrared technologies, is participating at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to introduce Ultraloop, an exclusive inductive a loop detector that is capable of differentiating between moving vehicles and vehicles that come to a complete stop on the inductive loop. The company points out that this function is useful in preventing false detection by cross traffic.

Also being featured is the USVD-4X vehicle sensor. The company says this device is particularly useful in “closing loop” applications where pedestrian traffic is not expected and loop installation is more expensive or not practical. The unit uses patent-pending Triangular Planar Array (TPA) technology to detect the presence of a vehicle and is designed to handle any drive thru operation, such as fast food, banking, pharmacies, car washes and parking.

EMX Industries will also be featuring Ultraloop ULT-DIN, loop detector model that has the company’s new detect-on-stop (DOS) feature, which allows detection only when a vehicle has come to a complete stop on the loop. The company says this exclusive feature is unique to EMX, and is a major advantage if you want to ignore cross traffic in tight spaces.
