UK-headquartered 521 CA Traffic, a leading traffic monitoring company, is here at Intertraffic with a major new product launch – the EVO-X camera. Featuring a completely new design combining state-of-the-art technology and extensive functionality, the EVO-X targets the middle ground of the ANPR market although it’s not just an ANPR camera.

The camera boasts dual functionality and can be switched to CCTV mode with live video streaming and Pan-Tilt-Zoom capability. Other features include three lane field of view, motorised zoom lenses for both ANPR and overview sensors, OCR engine options, the ability to read retro and non-retro plates simultaneously, a full range of communications options (including 4G) and what CA Traffic says is the most powerful IR Illuminator on the market today, which utilises new technology.

Due to the modular systems architecture, subsequent future models will scale down to meet the access control and parking markets as well as moving up towards higher specification tolling market applications.

Bernard Greene, the company’s managing director, says the new camera follows on from the strong market position established by the EVO8 ANPR camera and the launch here at Intertraffic is just the first of several variants of the new EVO-X camera.

“The company set to work on this development eight months ago and it is to the credit of my development team that we have created this ground breaking camera. Having full IPR in the camera and flexible architecture, we are looking forward to the new models which will follow in the near future. CA Traffic has a strong ethos of listening to its customers, delivering on its promises and not being afraid to invest in development; it is these that have led to our strong reputation in this market,” Bernard Greene said.
