“These are additions to our wide range of products in the tolling and traffic management segments,” group marketing director Jean-Pierre Leleu said at the show yesterday. “These are products tailored to specific customer needs. For instance, the TrafficPlus 245 is extremely reliable because in traffic management you may only use a barrier occasionally but when you do it is critical that it is reliable.”

Features on the TollPlus 160 include a three-phase asynchronous motor with a direct drive boom, connectivity with the TCP/IP interface for communication on an Ethernet network, and a 1.2 second opening time.

The TrafficPlus 245 comes equipped with central arm positioning for longer lengths and steel housing with anti-corrosion treatment with polyester paint.

Automatic Systems recently completely the expansion of its North American industrial site located near Montreal. The new factory has an increased capacity of nearly 40% and will handle mainly vehicle-related products rather than pedestrian equipment.
