8674 Appyparking is using Intertraffic to showcase a connected car platform that is said to bridge mapping, data, Internet of Things and payments drivers to provide users with more choice for destinations. The solution aims to save drivers time and money while also reducing congestion and pollution in cities.
The product is part of the company’s ambition to create an urban transport application programming interface for kerbside navigation that can integrate into intelligent mobility applications which has earned Appyparking an accolade of the 15th most disruptive company in the world.
The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) is partnering with ITS America to host two free public workshops on Thursday June 16 at ITS America 2016 San Jose. These workshops will discuss connected vehicle architecture, standards, and software tools, as well as provide new training on developing a plan for deploying a connected vehicle environment.
Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors are investing $300 million in ride-hailing firm Ola to develop smart mobility solutions in India.
The partners will also work together to develop fleet solutions as well as electric vehicles (EV) and infrastructure.
Hyundai will work with Kia and Ola to develop cars for a ride-hailing service. Data gathered during the service operation will allow the companies to make vehicle improvements.
