7906 Antaira Technologies’ LMP-1002G-SFP and LMP-1002G-SFP-24 series Ethernet switches have been designed for outdoor industrial automation applications, including high density traffic control equipment and surveillance systems.

The 10-port industrial gigabit PoE+ managed Ethernet switches have a 48-55VDC high power input and a 12-36VDC low power input with a built-in voltage booster which enables the unit to provide a full 48VDC PoE power for low voltage or mobile PoE application environment.

Each unit is designed with eight 10/100/1000Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 802.3at/af compliant (PoE+/PoE) with a PoE power output up to 30W per port and two dual rate 100/1000Tx SFP slots for fibre connections. The products support jumbo frames up to 9.6Kbytes and provide high EFT, surge (2,000VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection.

Houston Radar has released its low power side-fire radar, SpeedLane. It has been designed with the intention of detecting lane, speed and class of individual vehicles and compute per-lane volume, occupancy, gap, average speed, 85th percentile and headway parameters. The device can be mounted on the side of the road for traffic data collection and works in all weather and lighting conditions. Additionally, it measures all vehicles in eight user defined lanes and all traffic measurements are on per-vehicle

  • Idaho WIM systems save trucking industry time and money
    September 5, 2017
Figures released by the Idaho Transportation Department indicate that weigh-in-motion (WIM) systems installed at the state’s four points of entry (POE) have saved the trucking industry time and money in the last year. The data shows that trucks bypassing the port save an average of five minutes of time per incident, and almost a half a gallon of fuel. This amounts to a savings of about US$8.68 per bypass. Commercial trucks using WIM to bypass Idaho ports saved 33,365 hours and more than 16,000 gallons of
