7906 Antaira Technologies’ LMP-1002G-SFP and LMP-1002G-SFP-24 series Ethernet switches have been designed for outdoor industrial automation applications, including high density traffic control equipment and surveillance systems.

The 10-port industrial gigabit PoE+ managed Ethernet switches have a 48-55VDC high power input and a 12-36VDC low power input with a built-in voltage booster which enables the unit to provide a full 48VDC PoE power for low voltage or mobile PoE application environment.

Each unit is designed with eight 10/100/1000Tx Fast Ethernet ports that are IEEE 802.3at/af compliant (PoE+/PoE) with a PoE power output up to 30W per port and two dual rate 100/1000Tx SFP slots for fibre connections. The products support jumbo frames up to 9.6Kbytes and provide high EFT, surge (2,000VDC) and ESD (6,000VDC) protection.

As IP-based technology makes its presence felt in the control room sector, it makes for greater economies of scale and also offers a migration path for many other traffic management technologies. So says Barco's Guy Van Wijmeersch. Efficient control room collaboration and decision-making is only possible if operators and decision-makers have easy and timely access to information. In many cases, that information also needs to be accessible to multiple users at the same time. This is certainly so in the case
