4000 Zehntner says that its new ZRM6013+ portable road markings tester offers improved performance over previous models. This unit has additional capabilities compared with the earlier ZRM6013, retains the fast and easy features of its predecessor, as well as the highly reliable and precise results when working with all types of road markings.

The new device offers faster measurements with RL and Qd levels being evaluated in two seconds and single measurements for RL and Qd within one second. Being able to take faster measurements in the field helps improve safety for site personnel and also increases productivity.

The unit now has a larger touch screen, which is said to make it easier for users to switch through the operating menu and collect data. Managing director Peter Zehntner improved portable road markings retro-reflectivity tester said: “The key feature is the display and you can download the data to a USB flash drive.”

In addition, the unit is available with an extended handle, a built-in thermal printer and a WAAS GPS unit. Being able to take location data using the GPS unit provides accurate positioning information for use by road authorities. This allows worn road markings needing replacement to be identified and their position recorded accurately, for faster repairs and helping ensure road networks are brought back up to optimum safety levels.
