WTS International and the WTS Foundation have announced a scheme to provide financial support for young women pursuing transportation-related careers.

The Fred Berger Endowed Scholarship will be available for the 2025-26 WTS Foundation scholarship application cycle and will be distributed in partnership with the WTS New Jersey Chapter.

It is funded by a $50,000 donation from the Berger Charitable Foundation, which expands equitable access to STEM (science, technology, engineering, maths) education worldwide.

In a statement, WTS International said: "This endowed scholarship provides vital support for young women and addresses the ever-growing need to advance women’s representation in the industry and expand the pipeline for future leaders."

The aim of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) International is to create a more diverse, inclusive and equitable transportation industry through the global advancement of women.
