WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff to manage Los Angeles Metro express lanes

6666 WSP/4983 Parsons Brinckerhoff has been awarded a contract by the 1795 Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) to serve as its ExpressLanes program management support consultant.  

Under the contract, WSP/Parsons Brinckerhoff will assist Metro with project initiation, including planning and preliminary engineering; project and program management oversight; and public education, community relations and market research.

The primary focus of the new contract is on studying possible extensions of the current I-110 express lanes onto the I-105 Freeway, connecting near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), as well as extending the 110 ExpressLanes farther south to I-405. The firm will also advise the agency on express lane deployments in other freeway corridors throughout Los Angeles County.
