Webasto appoints John Thomas Head of electric vehicle charging

Webasto has appointed John Thomas head of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions North America to assist its business unit Webasto Thermo & Comfort (WT&C) in the deployment of its charging solutions together with global vehicle OEMs.

Before his current role, Thomas held various other positions at Webasto including over 25 years of OEM business execution and leadership, as well as aftermarket expertise.

The Webasto EV charging business includes customization of hardware and software, connectivity, professional installation and back-end user interface technology.

Fabian Bez, chairman of the management board at WT&C, said: “We are excited to strengthen our business within the new automotive mobility and are proud to have John leading the charge. He knows the North American market and the customer base very well.”
