Welcome to this 28th edition of CARTES Secure Connexions Event - nearly 30 years of enabling global synergies at a human and technological level

CARTES is the world’s leading exhibition dedicated to secure solutions for payment, identification and mobility. Since its creation in Paris in 1985, CARTES has become the industry’s premier show – and this 2013 edition brings together more than 450 exhibitors who have come to present their products and services to 20,000 visitors from 140 countries.

CARTES Secure Connexions Event 2013 will be a very rich experience and we urge you not to miss the following attractions:

• The World Card Summit (free access), the opening conference where key players from the security industry share their points of view on future technologies and solutions;

• The SESAMES Awards, the prestigious reward for the industry’s 11 best innovations every year, with the prizewinners presented at the show;

• The Smart Shopping area, which showcases the most significant innovations in the payment and retail industries, displayed in the form of customer journeys made easier by new technologies: shopping walls for a new remote business, multi service wallets, mobile payment terminals (MPOS), dematerialisation, smart labels and self-checkout in stores, biometrics applied to the payment and much more;

• Security and Privacy for Mobile Services by Eurosmart, which will offer live demonstrations from key players in the smart security industry on mobility and security, the protection of data and privacy, giving you real insight into where your mobile devices are headed and in how many ways they will make your everyday digital life much easier and more secure;

• The exhibitor workshops which will increase your knowledge of their products, apps and techniques around key themes such as innovative payments, mobile commerce, NFC, smart cities, e-wallets and e-money, security and identity.

Moreover, the 140 show conferences offer unique content which will allow you to enrich your business network and remain at the forefront of mobile life.

Also, for the first time this year, CARTES will be held in conjunction with Milipol Paris (Hall 5), the worldwide exhibition of internal state security. Its section dedicated to access control and authentication technologies will be of particular interest.

So, we hope you have a great CARTES Secure Connexions Event 2013 – and don’t forget to check out our Guest of Honour Country, Brazil, to see the considerable development prospects it offers to implement many innovative applications in the field of secure transactions.
